I tried a new searching tactic a few days ago. I searched for girls who drink regularly and who were online at the moment I was searching (read: girls who like to party and are also all about online dating). Brought in some sexy results. It looks like we're back on track for the time being. I've got four new girls chomping at the bit. Junkyard, who we've spoken about before, is very hot and will probably agree to go out with Casanova sometime late next week. She likes to talk about geography and where people are from.
Lizzie is also very much in the running. I think she may have used a canned email that she modified just slightly because this section just came out of nowhere. You be the judge:
"So, my definition of a good movie is one with a good soundtrack (not b/c it needs it, they just seem to go hand in hand) and I have to say the every Quentin Tarantino movie has the most amazing soundtrack. I also use this to justify my love of Garden State, not the sappy plot line.As for food, I have not tried either, but I recently had Ethiopian for the first time in DC and it was amazing so I would definitely have to try it.What kind of random questions do you have for me?"
In case you were wondering, I responded in kind to her request for random questions. A generous excerpt:
"Totally agree on the movie/soundtrack combo thing. I just watched Donnie Darko for the first time last night, and the soundtrack to that totally makes it.Here's a question from left field: got any big plans for the holiday weekend? (ha ha) In case you were wondering about mine, I'm headed to rendezvous with my parents in New York to pick up a car (12 year old Mitsubishi Galant, oh yeah!). It'll be the first time I've had a car since I've lived up here, so we'll have to see if I get lazier (I've gotten so used to biking)."
"Ok, now for a really random question: Would you rather have a sports announcer follow you around giving the play by play of your life outloud for all to hear or always smell and smell like pancakes?"
"On a more serious note: what's your specialty in the kitchen? Mine's pasta sauce."
There's been no word back from the 33 year old who loves her Jeep. Even though they'd be a terrible match, I want to see what would happen if he was to go out with a girl (no, woman) who was so much older.
I also tried something a little different with a girl getting her phd in psychology:
"As a psychiatry grad student (assuming this based on available fact, feel free to set me straight) I was hoping you could settle a debate I've been having with my friend. He just read this book called "Everything Bad is Good For You" which says (I'm going to oversimplify) that pop culture is actually making us smarter, not stupider. I'm not convinced, mostly because an overconsumption of pop culture will make you stupider if you don't ever do anything intellectually demanding. What do you think?"
This is a book I've actually read, and a conversation I had with Casanova a few days ago. Not a raging debate by any stretch, but this way I can talk to her about something I know a thing or two about, even if I have to argue the other side. This might be a little too "know-it-all intellectual" for her, but I figured it was worth a shot. Will report on the progress.
I'm not expecting too much from any of these prospects over the next 3-4 days. I just hope Caitlin gets back to us at some point today and confirms for Monday evening. I haven't been given many nights next week, so I'm going to have to slow up my game a little to compensate.
Happy to be back in the saddle...

What's all this?
I've signed my roommate friend up for an online dating site, except I'm pretending to be him her. I contact all the girls guys, chat them up online and schedule the dates (and pay for the memberships). All he she has to do is show up.
